You should make sure that it is away from you homes, garages and other flammable fluids that can easily catch fire. Measures and precautions should be taken seriously has this can cause a serious disaster. Generally a fire put should not be used by children and you should avoid wearing clothes that are highly flammable whilst inside the pit. Make a point that you should not overload the pit. Using protective clothing such as fire proof gloves is an ideal especially when handling very hot plates or trays.
You should avoid using a fire pit during windy conditions as it may cause bush fires or burn property due to the fire that would have been transferred from your pit to another place by wind. Other important factors you should consider is keeping a fire extinguisher,
Keeping away from flammable fluids, make sure that children do not use the pit, make sure that after use the fire is completely out and also make sure you do not wear flammable clothing. Inspection of the pit is very necessary and you should check whether all nuts and bolts are not loose. Avoid moving the pit whilst it is in use and make sure that it is placed at an open area.
